Polar Bears are somehow connected to wild bears (like the Grizzly or Black bear) but have coats that are snow--white. This animal is a carnivore, meaning it eats meat, but is actually an omnivore (eater of meat, fish and vegatables). Polar bears are considered as the world's largest land carnivore on the planet. The polar bear is a marine mammal.

  • It's behaviour: adult and young adult polar bears will feed and journey together for short periods of time.
  • Polar bears congregate by feeding on whale carcasses or at dump sites. They will have play fights for mating season, when the ice melts.
